A 30 year old geek girl, who may be described as a goth.

I'm rather mad on Aviation (mostly military), specifically Cold War and WWII really. And history in general. I'm also keen on classic cars.

I read a lot, mostly Sci-fi/fantasy, but also history/non-fiction books on various subjects.

I have diverse music tastes, ranging from some pop, through punk, industrial and heavy metal and classic rock.

I seem to hoarde computers and TY beanies also. I have a fair number of computers, mainly Macs, along with Sun and SGI systems.

I also may be obsessed with Seals... and other such lifeforms. I deny obsession ;) it is normal! Sealpup made me do it!

I've been out of work due to back problems since March 2002. In September 2005, I made the first start to getting back into work.

I have been working as a volunteer at a local charity/community centre since Feburary 2006. In August 2006, I went from working 12 hours per week as a volunteerr to working 6 hours per week as paid member of staff. This ended in March 2007. I've not really worked much since, but am looking to get back to voluntary work after recovering from major surgery.


Tales herein about the life of a geek grrl whose body feels often in need of bionic replacement parts, hence the name of this journal.
